The world’s first 64-Megapixel phone Redmi Note 8 Pro, has been launched by Xiaomi. The most excited and awaited Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are now been official. Both phones have initially been launched in China, The Redmi Note 8 series is a successor of previous impressive Redmi Note 7 series.
The company’s CEO Manu Kumar Jain has also announced that the phone will soon come to India. Xiaomi in India is just waiting for the certification, which may take approximately 8 weeks to complete.
Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro with Quad-camera
There was a competition in Realme and Xiaomi regarding the launch of ‘world’s first 64-megapixel camera phone’, and finally Xiaomi won the race. Realme XT has also announced with 64-megapixel primary camera.
However, it seems that in India, the first 64-megapixel camera phone will be brought by Realme as the Realme XT model. Probably, Xiaomi’s new Note 8 models’ price will be the same as China’s price.
Just to recall, the Note 8 variant price in China is CNY 999, which is roughly Rs. 10000 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Another, 6GB + 64GB is of CNY 1199 which is roughly Rs. 12000, and the variant of 6GB + 128GB is CNY 1399 that is roughly Rs. 14000.
Xiaomi’s Note 8 Pro has a retail price of CNY 1399 in China, which is roughly Rs. 14000 for the base model with 6GB+128GB. Other variants of 6GB+128GB and 8GB+ 128GB, having a price of CNY 1599 and CNY 1799 in china, that are almost equal to Rs. 16000 and Rs. 18000 respectively.
Redmi Note 8 specs
First, talk about the camera of Note 8, it has a quad-camera setup on the rear of the smartphone with a 48-megapixel primary camera, featuring the Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor. The other three cameras are – an 8-megapixel Ultra Wide Angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone is also featuring a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front side with a notch.
Considering display, the phone has an OLED display with a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD panel, and the phone is featuring a fingerprint scanner, which is on the back.
The phone works on Snapdragon 665 SoC chipset and having an Octa-core processor with 2.2 GHz and 1.8 GHz. The phone is getting power from a 4000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It’s a dual-SIM phone, having USB-C port and the 3.5 mm audio jack.
Redmi Note 8 Pro specs
Note 8 Pro which has become ‘the world’s first 64-megapixel camera phone’ has the primary Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW 1 sensor. In the quad-camera set up on the rear, the other cameras are – an 8-megapixel Wide Angle lens, two 2-megapixel lenses for macro and depth sensor. The selfie camera is of 20-megapixels.
There’s a large display in Pro version with a 6.53-inch full HD LCD panel. The bezel is quite thin as 4.2mm.
Note 8 Pro comes with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset and the battery is slightly bigger than Redmi Note 8, which is 4500mAh, which also supports 18W fast charging. The Redmi Note 8 Pro has been claimed by the company, a less heating phone for gaming performance.
